This original musical adaptation of A CHRISTMAS CAROL was written entirely by local New Jersey artists. It features music & orchestrations written by Ryan Gregg and Zac Silva of The Shady Street Show Band (2014 Asbury Music Awards nominees), with lyrics by Gregg, David J. Cruse and Anthony Siniscalco. The book, adapted from the novella by Charles Dickens, was written by Coastal Artists founder David J. Cruse & Anthony V. Siniscalco, Jr. "The talent level of this cast was beyond our expectation. So much so that during the beginning of the rehearsal process, Ryan Gregg and I decided to write new songs for Carleigh (Christmas Past) and Michele (Tiny Tim). I revisited the original Dickens staves again, we added some short scenes that are in the book, found the lyrics pretty organically and then Ryan and Zac (Silva) came back with some beautiful melodies, that just fit the show and the Victorian period. It's been a really collaborative process and a lot of fun," said Coastal Artists founder David Cruse, of Wall. "I love the fact that Ryan and Zac are getting to use their classical training, as they're known for their Rock and Soul for sure. Having them is a blessing, and we just want to continue to make the show better and have it become a holiday tradition for families in this area. It's nice to have a new, fresh take on things. We'd love to see the JSAC full of people! And having a cast that includes Sal Giacchi and Joe Minnella alone is worth the price of admission."
